This Sunday, July 6th, the sixth edition of Atlantic Pride kicks off in the square of Pontevedra, a festival organized by the Asociación Orgullo Coruña (ORCO) in collaboration with the City Council. The drag show WICKHÉ?!, by Arantxa Castilla-La Mancha & OnyX Unleashed, will inaugurate the ‘Pride of the North’ this Sunday. In this first day, from 8:00 pm to 12:30 am, Galician talent will also have a special role, with performances by the bands De Ninghures and Coolnenas. «The Government of Inés Rey wants to enhance the celebrations of Pride and diversity in Coruña by actively supporting an event that is already a benchmark at the Galician and national levels,» said Gonzalo Castro, Councilor for Culture and Tourism.
Arantxa Castilla-La Mancha & OnyX Unleashed are two of the most beloved and innovative figures in the Spanish drag universe, great stars of Drag Race España, known for their creativity and charisma, as the audience at Atlantic Pride will witness in the first day of the event, where they will present their new show inspired by the phenomenon of Wicked.
At around 9:30 pm, it will be De Ninghures’ turn, one of the leading groups in the current vibrant and rich scene in Galicia. De Ninghures is a group that blends musical mastery and carefree attitude, surprising in every song with their different voices and their update of popular tunes and melodies, making us both dance and be moved by their unique fusion of traditional Galician music with rhythms and inspirations from other cultures like Latin American or Maghrebi. At Atlantic Pride, De Ninghures will perform live the songs from their new album, Feira, released last February.
Meanwhile, Coolnenas will present their particular animated cartoon rave that is revolutionizing the concept of a DJ set wherever they go. In their sessions, timeless classics and many other current hits prevail, which they accompany with energetic choreographies that quickly spread to the entire audience, as they will undoubtedly show this Sunday in Coruña.
Eight days of fun and inclusion
Between July 6th and 13th, A Coruña will once again be the headquarters of the ‘Pride of the North’ to celebrate the sixth edition of Atlantic Pride. The festival is promoted by the Asociación Orgullo Coruña -ORCO-, with the institutional sponsorship of the City Council of Coruña.
In 2025, the event proposes eight days of music and celebration around sex-affective diversity and identity, promising to be once again one of the essential summer events in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. Its lineup highlights the presence of bands and artists such as Judeline, Edurne, David Civera, Jimena Amarillo, Nia, Merche, Paula Koops, Mayo, Kuve, De Ninghures, Turista Sueca, Anabel Conde, Agoraphobia, Alana, LERIA, ELBA, and Rivadulla.
On the other hand, at the DJ booth of Atlantic Pride 2025 will be Sofía Cristo, Cascales, Coolnenas, La Kristhofer, Kris K DJ, DJ90, DJ Licho, DJ Flashback, DJ Espinoso, and DJ CÉS. Also, at the ‘Pride of the North’ event in Coruña in 2025, the drag queens Samantha Ballentines, Arantxa Castilla-La Mancha & OnyX Unleashed, Ariel REC & Gaylicia, Liteah, Yasmine Lutar, Kelly Amethyst, RRRITA, and Escarlatina Pier will not be missing.
This new edition of Atlantic Pride 2025 will be a unique opportunity to enjoy a week full of excitement, talent, and musical diversity, promising to connect the past, present, and future of Spanish pop music in an unforgettable experience. The Pride of the North
Known as the ‘Pride of the North,’ Atlantic Pride will celebrate its 6th edition in Coruña from July 6th to 13th, 2025. It is a pioneering, free, and inclusive festival aimed at advocating for affective, sexual, and identity freedom from a playful and inclusive perspective.
The event, which in its last edition brought together more than 25,000 people, is promoted by the Asociación Orgullo Coruña -ORCO-, with the institutional sponsorship of the City Council of Coruña. The meeting was born in 2019 with the aim of positioning the city of Coruña as the capital of a good atmosphere and celebration without distinctions or barriers. The project, which aims to bring together all layers of Coruña’s society in a safe and friendly environment, unfolds around several days of concerts and cultural activities, including its LGTBIQ+ Literature Contest, to attract local and foreign audiences as a cultural, touristic, and social reference and one of the essential events of the summer in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula.
In 2025, Atlantic Pride returns as an open, safe, and diverse celebration space, as a reference to the ‘Prides’ celebrated at the beginning of summer throughout the Peninsula, where once again, colorful proposals for all audiences will come together. Thus, at Atlantic Pride, there will be no shortage of Eurovision-inspired concerts, great names from the Galician pop scene, national and international acts, fun drag performances, DJ sets by reference DJs from the Galician scene, and the celebration of the IV LGTBIQ+ Literature Contest, organized by the QUEERuña Reading Club, which in its last edition recorded a participation record and which in 2025 has already opened its call to receive stories until this Saturday, May 31st.
In this 6th edition of Atlantic Pride, the presence of five great divas of Spanish pop is confirmed: Judeline, Edurne, Nia, Merche, and Paula Koops, who will fill the city of Coruña with color and fun, with voices that will delight various generations. Alongside them, the new Galician music scene will once again take the stage at the ‘Pride of the North’ in Coruña, with De Ninghures, Coolnenas, Agoraphobia, Alana, LERIA, ELBA, and Rivadulla.
Additionally, four great icons of LGTBIQ+ culture and music, such as Jimena Amarillo, Mayo, and DJs Sofía Cristo and Cascales, will be present. Turista Sueca will bring her good dose of party, flamboyance, and humor, while at the DJ booth, La Kristhofer, Kris K DJ, DJ90, DJ Licho, DJ Flashback, DJ Espinoso, and DJ CÉS will also perform.
Furthermore, the best drag queen talent from Spain and Galicia, from Drag Race to Claro Boba!, will join the Atlantic Pride celebration this summer, which in 2025 will feature the largest drag cast in its history. Thus, on the stage of the ‘Pride of the North,’ great queer icons such as Samantha Ballentines, Arantxa Castilla-La Mancha & OnyX Unleashed, Yasmine Lutar, Liteah, RRRITA, Escarlatina Pier, Ariel REC & Gaylicia, and Kelly Amethyst will parade. Finally, the closing day of Atlantic Pride will be a true Eurovision revival with the voices of David Civera, Anabel Conde, and Kuve.
